Description:
Criminals are bypassing controls to steal millions. They have a full-featured playbook. Eftsure’s Ramesh Menon joins Strategic Treasurer’s Craig Jeffery to break down three fraud playbooks used to bypass payment controls and to show exactly how each one works.
This session will examine vendor impersonation in its most prevalent forms: (1) spoofed email addresses, (2) lookalike domains, and (3) full compromise of a company’s email system, where the attacker operates from inside a legitimate inbox.
The presenter will show how each tactic is used to slip past standard controls and what is required to detect and stop these scams. Attendees will understand how these attacks unfold in practice and where their verification processes are most exposed and vulnerable.
